CPR Certification Expiry! You Might Be Suspended

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation training has been designed by the American Heart Association or the AHA for helping people to be equipped with the basic steps to be taken at the time of an emergency. Earlier the training was mandatory for people working in the medical field. However, with the increased number of people dying from cardiac arrest and stroke, nowadays, many other professions also require CPR training. If you are someone, who has taken the training to become eligible for a job and have been able to crack the interview, you must be quite happy. However, do not get satisfied only with this. To retain your job, you need to ensure that the card or the certificate is valid. In case, your certificate expires, you might get suspended or even terminated from the work. Therefore, it is important for you to get the card renewed before the expiry date.

Look out for the renewal date
As soon as you get the CPR card from your training institute, you should make it a point to look out for the renewal date on the card. A card is generally valid for two years from the date of its issue. Therefore, if you note the date on the card and set a reminder one month in advance from the date of renewal, you would not have to experience any unwanted hassles for the expiry of the card. Yet, setting the alarm is not all. You also need to make sure that you join for the renewal course on time.

Search for renewal courses
Most of the reputed institutes, which offer CPR training has the provision for the renewal course. Therefore, if you search the web, you would be able to find about the training institutes at ease. You can also join the same center from which you have received your first time certification for the course. Enrolling for the renewal course in the same institute can also make you eligible for some special offers and discounts. Thus, you can get the best value for your money.

Enquire for office programsf
Many offices nowadays have the provision of training their staffs CPR. If your office also has the same provision and has entered collaboration with any of the institutes, you can join it for the renewal. As these are group courses and many people from your office would enroll for it, you might be entitled to some special discounts on the fees. Also there would be no hassle in receiving the renewal certificate from the institute.
Learning CPR is important and it is equally important to get your certificate renewed on the right time. By renewing your certificate, you would not only be able to continue your eligibility as a caregiver but also you would be able to update yourself with the latest modifications in the techniques introduced by the American Heart Association. Many a times it has been found that candidates have forgot the proper use of each technique for the lack of practice. In that case, the renewal courses can be helpful in brushing up the skills and adding putting them to the appropriate use.
